The sub-heading of this panel differs depending on from where the panel was accessed. The following sub-headings could be displayed:
- Supply deposit – This sub-heading will be displayed if you ran the Supply deposit CMI process to initialize a CDS inventory contract.
- Re-purchase – This sub-heading will be displayed if you ran the Re-purchase CMI process for a CDS inventory contract.
- Ownership takeover – This sub-heading will be displayed if you ran the Ownership takeover CMI process for an SCS and Logistic SCS inventory contract.
From this panel the actual ownership transfer confirmation takes place. All lines that belong to the selected ownership transfer header will be listed.
If the item on the line is an DC1 Warehouse Management controlled item, it is possible to keep the goods in the same location, (by clicking the Keep location function key), as long as it is accepted by the location owner validation. However, if legal requirements stipulate that externally owned goods be stored separately from internally owned goods, (which is controlled by how you set up the system, i.e. the Location/ext owner field in the Work with warehouses file was set to YES, and no override was defined for the same field on item/warehouse level or business partner level), a physical transfer of the goods is needed when the change of ownership change occurs. If your From warehouse (i.e. the Logical warehouse for the inventory contract) was set up to separate the goods by owners (i.e. owner restriction), you must complete the From zone/location and To zone/location fields.
Options
Select from location | Select this option to access available location balance records for the item, where you can select the applicable From zone/location. If the item is a batch item, this option must be used. The Select from location panel displays the batches. If the CMI-BATH (CMI – Batch handling) function is active in the Function control file, only batches added during the supplying process to the contract line can be used. If that function is not activated, the system will not control the matching between an inventory contract line and a batch number. |
Serial numbers | Select this option to access the Serial number out of stock program, where you select serial numbers for the ownership transfer. |
