These entries are used in the Business partner file to specify the manner of transport of ordered items for each customer and supplier. If the EU reporting function is activated, you may also enter the corresponding EU code for manner of transport which is used in EU reporting. When entering a sales or purchase order, the manner of transport defaulted for the respective customer/supplier can be overridden at that time.

- MOT
- This column lists the existing manner of transport codes.
- EU code
- Only displayed if the EU reporting function is activated. Displays the corresponding EU code (according to EU regulations) for the manner of transport.
- Port mandatory
- Indicates if a port must be declared if this manner of transport is by sea or air.
- Exceptions
- Indicates if handling/hazard code exceptions exist for the manner of transport.
Work with manners of transport (GDMD14204)
On this panel you enter a new or maintain an existing manner of transport. If the EU reporting function is activated, you may also enter the corresponding EU code. When entering a sales or purchase order, the manner of transport defaulted for the respective customer/supplier can be overridden at that time.

- MOT (EU)
- Only displayed if the EU reporting function is activated. Enter the corresponding EU code (according to EU regulations) for the manner of transport. If no such code is entered, the normal manner of transport code will be used in EU reporting.
- Port mandatory
- Indicate if a port must be declared if this manner of transport is by sea or air. If you set this field to YES, the port of dispatch must be entered for a sales order, and the port of arrival must be entered for a purchase order, when this manner of transport code is used in the order maintenance routines.
- Carrier
- Only applicable if you are running the DC1 GB Parcel Carrier application. Enter the carrier company, from the Carrier table, that should be assigned to deliver the goods when this manner of transport is defined on the sales order.
