On this panel you enter the delimiters which will be ignored by the system when creating search fields. The delimiters are also used to begin the next search field when processing a character string. Special characters such as -:&|¤*+()%= which should not be included in search fields may be entered.
If a word or name such as DC1-US is created in the Work with items or Work with business partners programs, and this panel does not contain the dash (-), one search field for DC1-US will be created. If this panel contains the dash (-), two search fields will be created; DC1 and US.
Note: For example, if a search field is created for an item description and the item description is X47BE RED WAGON, three search fields will be created: X47BE, RED and WAGON. This means that the “blank” character will always separate words.
