The steps below depict how to create your own historical event in addition to the automatically created history information for the service object.
History codes 00 through 99 are reserved and partly pre-loaded by the system. They correspond to specific events such as: creation of the service object, assigned service agreement, assigned warranty, change of customer, and so on. These events automatically update the service history log as they occur. You can define your own history codes in the Object history code table. These codes can be used to manually add historical events to the History log.
- Select the Work with service objects menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the object for which you want to add history information and click Obj hist.
- You access Work with service objects, History information listing the historical events for the object, which have been automatically created by the system. Click Add.
- On the detail panel, complete the following fields:
- Date
- Enter a valid date that corresponds to the date when the historical event took place. This date must be less than the current date.
- History code
- Enter the appropriate user defined history code from the Object history code table (history codes 00-99 are reserved by the system).
- Text
- Enter the appropriate text describing the historical event.
Click OK to update and exit the routine.
