This panel will allow reorganisation of item classification entities. Main group, Group, Item classification profile 1 or Item classification profile 2 can be entered. As every grouping structure is unique the entry of values is controlled in such a way that no redundant data is allowed to be entered. Either a main group or group can be entered, or a combination (or each on its own) of item classification profiles 1 and 2, but never all of them.
The following scenarios apply depending on what you want/choose to do:
- Remove a whole grouping structure: Enter a classification group to remove it along with all item classification profiles 1 associated with it. If item classification profile 1 in turn is connected to one or more item classification definitions then all item classification definitions (and any defined information such as units, layouts, etc) will be removed. In addition, if any connected item exists, then characteristics will be detached from each connected item.
- Remove several grouping structures: Enter a classification main group to remove it along with all classification groups associated with it and consequently all item classification profiles 1 associated with each removed group. If item classification profile 1 in turn is connected to one or more item classification definitions then all item classification definitions (and any defined information such as units, layouts, etc) will be removed. In addition, if any connected item exists, then characteristics will be detached from each connected item. Item classification profiles 2 that, after this process, are not used by other classification profiles 1 to the connected item classification definition, will also be removed.
- Remove a specific classification profile and any connected classification definition(s): Enter either a specific item classification profile 1 or item classification profile 2 but not both, to remove it along with any connected item classification definitions (and any defined information such as units, layouts, etc). If any connected item exists, then characteristics will be detached from each connected item.
- Remove only a specific classification definition: Enter a valid combination of item classification profile 1 and item classification profile 2 to remove that specific item classification definition (and any defined information such as units, layouts, etc). If any connected item exists, then characteristics will be detached from each connected item. Important: When this combination is entered the item classification profiles 1 and 2 will not be removed as such but only the item classification definition and connected data.
Note: Every time this process is run, at the end of the processing, regardless the selection applied, the routine will check if any groups are left. If not, it means that no item classification grouping structures are left (as no parents exists). The process will proceed with the deletion of any defined characteristics and formulas within the item classification as no grouping structure nor items are using them anymore. The final result will be the complete uninstall of item classification data.
- Main group
- The name of this field depends on what has been set up in the DIS control keys file for the Item related key that was chosen to represent the Item classification main group entity (defined in the DIS control file). Enter the main group.
