This panel displays the DC1 environments in the system. You can add, change or delete environments.
It is recommended that you set up an environment for each release or project you have in your system. Each environment is connected to a system library. Then you create a new system environment, you have the possibility to create a new system library.

DC1 environment maintenance (ASGD7014)
The entries in this table are used to control the set-up of the different DC1 system environments co-existing in one machine.

- Environment id
- Based on env. id
- When you create a new DC1 system environment, you must enter an existing environment id. Enter the environment id that is connected to a system library that you want to copy to your new DC1 system environment.
- Description
- Enter the description of the environment.
- Subset
- This field is used only for new entries. Enter a valid subset from the Subset table.
- Identity
- System library
- Enter the name of the system library that the environment is connected to.
- Default company
- Enter the company code which is to be the default company when you log on to the environment.
- Initial LIBL entry 1-5
- Enter the libraries needed to log on to your DC1 environment and control the access of system files. These fields are optional, but it is recommended that at least the DC1 base release production library and the system library for the environment is entered.
DC1 environment maintenance, Create system environment (ASGD7015)
On this panel you enter parameters to create a new DC1 system environment.
- Environment id
- Displays the environment identification you are about to create.
- System library
- Displays the system library defined on the previous panel, but can be changed.
- Copy from library
- Displays the name of the system library connected to the based on environment. This is the system library you are about to copy.
- Reset system files
- Indicate if you want to reset the data in the files created in the new system library.
- Reset from subset
- If you set the Reset system files field to YES, this field is used to decide from with subset the data should be reset. All records with the same subset key sequence and lower are deleted. For example, if you enter *COUNTRY (key sequence=6), all data with key sequence 1-6 will be deleted in all system files that is subset handled.
- Create/Copy library
- Set this field to YES if you want to create the new system library and copy all files to the new system library. Set this field to NO if the library already exist and all the files are there, and you just want to reset the data in the files.
