Work with manufacturing group order, Open group orders/All group orders (PRO027A)

Related topics

On this panel you can create and maintain manufacturing group orders. When this panel is first displayed, the group orders that are open are displayed. Click the All/Open orders function key to toggle all group orders and those that are open.

Group orders are created for manufacturing orders which have an operation in common or which are created from the same material. For example, you might group manufacturing orders for items which are all to be painted blue. All blue items are painted at the same time, meaning that no adjustment is needed to the work centre or tool in-between the jobs. The fact that a large number of items can be handled as a group enhances the efficiency and reduces time and cost for machine set-up.
