DC1 installation backup creation (ASTD5101)

Two different sub-headings can be displayed on this panel, depending on what was selected on the first panel accessed when starting this program:

If you are in Create save file mode: All save files are created in the Save file library defined in the Release definition table. The Save Info Table (SROSIT) will be updated with all necessary information about the save files.

If you are in Save to tape mode: First the system will save program QINSTAPP to be able to install the tape via command LODRUN. Then the system will create and save an installation library. Then the system reads Save Info Table (SROSIT) and saves all selected save files.

Clear all old savf
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Set this field to YES to clear all old save files. All save files in all save file libraries will be cleared. Use this code if you, for example, want to re-save the entire DC1 into save files. Set this field to NO if you do not want to clear all save files. Note: If you save, for example, a library that already exists in a save file, that save file will be cleared before save anyway.
Clear sel old savf
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Set this field to YES to clear all old save files for the selected release. All save files in the save file libraries for the selected release will be cleared. Note: If this field and the Clear all old savf field are set to YES, the system will clear all save files in all save file libraries.
Device
Only displayed if you are in Save to tape mode. Enter the name of the tape device, for example TAP01.
End of tape option
Only displayed if you are in Save to tape mode. Enter, when tape is used, the positioning operation to be performed after the save operation ends. If more than one volume is included, this parameter applies only to the last volume used; all other volumes are rewound and unloaded when the end of the tape is reached. The possible options are:

The possible options are:

Option Description
*REWIND The tape is automatically rewound, but not unloaded, after the save operation has ended. This is the recommended choice if you are about to create CD-images from the tape.
*UNLOAD The tape is automatically rewound and unloaded after the save operation ends. This is the recommeded choice if you do not want to create CD-images from the tape.
*LEAVE The tape does not rewind or unload after the save operation. It remains at the current position on the tape drive. This choice is not recommended.
Prepare tape for CD
Only displayed if you are in Save to tape mode. Indicate if you want the tape to be pre-mastered for CD creation.
Target release
Enter a value to specify the release of the operating system on which you intend to restore and use the object. Lowest allowed release is V4R2M0.
Object pre-check
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Indicate if object pre-check should be done. If this field is set to YES, all specified objects are checked and if one or more objects cannot be saved, the save operation for a library ends before any data is written. If set to NO, the save operation for a library continues, saving only those objects that can be saved.
Save active
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Specify if an object should be saved while in use. If this field is set to NO, objects that are in use are not saved.
Data compression
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Indicate if data compression should be used. If this field is set to YES, a software compression will be performed. Note: Hardware compression is not possible when saving to save files. If set to NO, no data compression is performed.
Save access paths
Only displayed if you are in Create save file mode. Indicate if you want to reduce the size of the save files when you save to save files.
Start time
Enter the time when you want the backup of the system to start. The following format is valid:

HHMM where HH is hours and MM is minutes
Save size in MB
Only displayed if you are in Save to tape mode. Displays the total save size in Mega Byte for selected save files.
