On this panel you define the characteristic exceptions (i.e. purchase price exceptions per characteristic value). Depending on the entered criteria, items might receive a different base purchase price than the one defined as the standard for any item belonging to the applicable grouping structure. You add the lines, defining the standard purchase price operator and price factor that will be used to calculate the standard purchase price for the characteristic exception. Per line, you then define the characteristic criteria that must be met in order for the exception to be applied.
A mandatory validation must be performed (via the Integrity check function key) if the Combined rules field is set to NO for the SPP price group on the Work with item classification definition, Standard purchase prices, detail panel. This integrity check will check that the item connected to the SPP price group (for the Item classification definition) is only connected to one characteristic exception set-up. See Combined rules flag for characteristic exceptions in Item Classification pricing for more information.

Integrity check | Only displayed if field Combined rules is set to NO for the SPP. Perform an integrity check (validation) to ensure that the item connected to the SPP price group (for the Item classification definition) is only connected to one characteristic exception set-up. Selection fields
- Supplier
- The supplier for whom the SPP price group is defined. A SPP price group is the set-up of supplier prices in the item classification definition with exceptions applied, i.e. price groups are defined on the classification profile 1/classification profile 2/supplier levels with defined exceptions.
- Stand purchase price
- The standard purchase price for the SPP price group.
- From date
- The start date of the pricing period for the standard purchase price.
- Line
- This column lists the unique line number of the characteristic exception. Several criteria can be connected to one line number if Combined rules is set to NO. If Combined rules is set to YES only one characteristic exception can be connected to a line.
- Characteristic
- This column lists the characteristic information retrieved from the SPP Characteristics exception critiera panel. If only one characteristic is connected to a line, the characteristic is displayed. If more than one characteristic is found, the word *MULT is displayed.
- Op
- This column lists the operator defined for the characteristic and value.
If the criteria according to this operator is met, as indicated in the table above, the price factor for the exception will be applied in conjunction with the price operator (P op field). For example, if the characteristic exception has the following defined:
Characteristic
(Criteria panel)Operator
(Criteria panel)Value
(Criteria panel)Price operator
(Characteristics exceptions panel)Price factor
(Characteristics exceptions panel)SHEETPERBOX = 2500 + 10,00 The result would be that the price factor of 10 should be added (+) to the base price IF the characteristic SHEETPERBOX for the item is equal to (=) the value 2500.
- Value
- This column lists the defined value for the applicable characteristic retrieved from the SPP Characteristics exception critiera panel. The format of the value (alphanumeric or numeric) is defined at characteristic header level (Work with characteristics).
- P op
- This column lists the standard purchase price operator that was used together with the standard purchase price factor to calculate the Standard purchase price for the characteristic exception.
- Price factor
- This column lists the price factor. The price factor together with the Standard purchase price operator is used to calculate the Standard purchase price for the characteristic exception. If the value is price (i.e. operator is +, – or =) decimals from the currency is used, otherwise the value is displayed with four decimals.
- Chg
- This column lists the YES setting if changes for the criteria or line have been made. This column is only updated if the SPP price group is active (prices are downloaded) and period is todays or future period. This flag indicates that changes have not yet been implemented (prices downloaded) to the items connected to the SPP price group.
Work with item classification definition, SPP, Characteristics exceptions (DIR27804)
On this panel you define the details for the exception. When completed you define the characteristic criteria, per line, that must be met in order for the exception to be applied.

- Enter the unique line number of the characteristic exception. Several criteria can be connected to one line number if Combined rules is set to NO. If Combined rules is set to YES only one characteristic exception can be connected to a line.
- Operator
- The operator together with the standard purchase price factor is used to calculate the Standard purchase price for the item exception.
- Price factor
- Enter the price factor. The price factor together with the SPP operator is used to calculate the Standard purchase price for the item exception. If the value is price (i.e. operator is +, – or =), decimals from the currency is used, otherwise the value is displayed with four decimals.
- Price
- The standard purchase price that was calculated using the operator and SPP price factor.
Standard purchase price + (Operator) Price factor = Price Note: When the Combined rules flag is set to NO and a negative price has been created, an error message will be displayed indicating that price cannot be zero. Negative prices are highlighted.
