Season profile weights maintenance (INVD0163)
On this panel, you maintain the weight (or index) for a forecast period.
- Season profile
- Displays the season profile you are working with.
- Forecast period
- Displays the number of the forecast period for which you are maintaining period weights.
- Weight
- Enter a numeric weight for this forecast period. Note: The sum of all weights must be greater than zero. Since this is an index, the value you assign to each weight can be any value.
Using the period weights, an average period weight is calculated. The average period weight is used in creating a season index by comparing each period’s weight to the average period weight. The resulting season index is calculated and used in the Forecast calculation. See section Season index calculation for more information.
