For every item already registered (or you plan on registering) in the DC1 system you must complete (i.e. validate) the mandatory Iptor WM1 related fields on the equivalent maintenance panel.
The item must then be sent back to Iptor WM1. How this takes place is dependent on the triggers activated. You have the following options:
- Send automatically (one at a time) as soon as you have entered the data for each item if the relevant file/trigger program is activated and “created” in Work with database triggers.
- If you want more control over when to initially send the data you can perform a WMS initial load after you have entered/validated the data. This will send all data simultaneously. Note: Make sure the relevant trigger flag is not set to YES. When ready, create the relevant triggers (i.e. select the Create trigger option in the Work with database triggers routine) so that any change that may take place later on for the segment will be sent and updated in Iptor WM1.
Function keys
- Item
- Displays the item code and description.
- Alter unit code
- This field is currently not used.
- Prod loc group code
- Displays the product location group code which specifies several aspects about the way an item is handled, such as the put away algorithm, the picking algorithm and the replenishment algorithm. The product location group of an item is taken as a default when creating a stock product. By linking product location groups to location groups, you define where products may be stored.
- Product family code
- Displays the product family code. The product family of an item is taken as a default when creating a stock product. Product families are used to define exclusions, meaning that there should be a minimum distance (in terms of aisles, stacks and altitude) between locations with the same or an other product family group.
- Labeled
- Displays the labelling value which is used during the picking process to determine if it is possible to scan the products or not.
Value Description EAN The item is labelled by its EAN code ITEM The item is labelled by its item code NO The item is not labelled - Replenishment type
- This field is currently not used.
- Replenishment point
- Displays the replenishment point which denotes the trigger quantity to generate a replenishment.
- Minimum repl qty
- Displays the minimum replenishment quantity for a replenishment task.
- Maximum repl qty
- Displays the maximum replenishment quantity for a replenishment task.
- Lot life time days
- Displays the lot life time in days. The lot life time is useful for items for which the expiry date is important. A proposal will occur at the time of reception for the expiry date, based on the reception date and the lot life time in days.
- Production ctrl type
- Displays the production control type which defines the use of the keys for stock products and the use of expiry dates.
- Package nesting code
- Displays the package nesting code which can be used for package calculations during the picking process (depending on the package calculation algorithm). For some products, such as baskets, the volume of several items does not need to be multiplied. The nesting factor represents the percentage of the normal volume that an additional item takes; the weights of additional items are simply added.
- Package reuse code
- Displays the package reuse code which can be used for package calculations during the picking process (depending on the package calculation algorithm). For some products, a fraction of the volume can be used to put other items in; for instance a basket can be filled with screws. The reuse percentage represents the fraction of the volume of an item that can be reused to put smaller items in, meaning that those smaller items will not consume additional volume.
- Package comp code
- Displays the package compression code. This field is not currently used for calculations.
- Container size
- Displays the container size code for the item which is used at reception time. The default value is taken from the Owner default table in Iptor WM1.
- Container type
- Displays the container type code for the item which is used at reception time. The default value is taken from the Owner default table in Iptor WM1.
- Qty/pallet expected
- Displays the quantity per pallet expected for this item. This quantity is used as a default at reception time.
- Reception inv status
- Displays the reception inventory status to be used as a default when receiving the specified item.

- Displays the rounding qualifier code to be used as the default. The rounding qualifier code is used when creating bill of materials or outbound order lines. The default value is taken from the Warehouse default table in Iptor WM1. Currently, only the “EXACT” value is a valid entry.
- Package type code
- Displays the code from the Package type table from Iptor WM1. The package type code is used when creating outbound order lines. The default value is taken from the Owner default table.
