Work with package reporting (DIR33601)

Note: This panel may be displayed in either Maintenance or Enquiry mode. In Enquiry mode, the panel title is Package reporting enquiry and the Order number and Package number fields are available.

This program handles and tracks all packaging used to store, pick and ship your goods. The numbers used to identify each package are controlled by a number series (defined in the DIS control file that makes every package unique. This routine allows you to store goods from different pick lists in one package and mix order lines that are destined to the same delivery address.

This maintenance program can be accessed via its menu option or by clicking the Package reporting option for a shipment in the Work with outbound shipments program. The enquiry program can be accessed via the Enquiries menu.

If this program has been accessed via the menu option you must enter one of the following.

  • Pick list number
  • Pick consolidation (number)
  • Shipment (number)
  • Pack date

If this program has been accessed via the Enquiries menu, you must enter one of the following:

  • Pick list number
  • Pick consolidation (number)
  • Shipment (number)
  • Order number
  • Package number

If the program is called from Work with outbound shipments routine, the initial panel will be bypassed as the shipment number that you selected to work will be defaulted.

Package numbering is based on the EAN package numbering rules – SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code). Each unique package number is determined in the DIS control file maintenance, Extension package and shipment info panel.

Pick list number
Enter the pick list number.
Pick consolidation
Enter the pick consolidation number.
Shipment
Enter the shipment number.
Order number
This field is only displayed when running the Package reporting enquiry. You can enter the order number for lines that have been packed (i.e. the order has confirmed pick list).
Pack date
Enter the date that the goods were packed.
Package number
This field is only displayed when running the Package reporting enquiry. You can enter a package number. If the entered package is found for a shipment address, the enquiry will run as if it was started for the specific shipment address. Otherwise, the enquiry will run as if it was run for the pick list for which the entered package number has been created.

This program is accessed by entering a Pick consolidation number in the Work with package reporting initial panel, or Order number in the Package reporting enquiry.

Select Select this option to select a record.
Display This option is available if you accessed this panel via the Package reporting enquiry. Select this option to display a record.

Selection fields

Consolidation number
Order number
This field is displayed if you entered the order number on the initial Package reporting enquiry panel. Displays the order number.
Pick list
This column displays the confirmed pick list number.
Customer
This column displays the customer number.
Name
This column displays the name of the customer.

This program is accessed by entering a Shipment number in the Work with package reporting initial panel or by selecting the Pack reporting option from the Work with outbound shipments, Headers panel.

All of the customers that will be receiving goods from this shipment are listed on this panel.

Shipment number
Displays the number of the shipment you selected to work with.
