The following describes how to view available quantity for a normal item (not a batch-controlled item); drilling down to view different levels of information. - Select the Time axis enquiry program.
- You access Time axis enquiry, Inventory. Enter the Item code and Warehouse for which you want to view available stock. Click OK.
- The same panel is displayed, but with information in the “cells”. The following information is displayed:
- Plan time
- The planning time in days and the end date.
- Net on hand
- The actual stock on hand quantity at the moment. As stated earlier, it is not always what is available for sales.
- Click Inventory info to view additional information.
- Click Change view to toggle between normal stock, BtB – transit stock, and BtB – direct stock modes
- Click Print to print a time axis report
- Click Order lines to view all entered sales/purchase order lines
- Click Pl time to access the Planning time enquiry
- Click View controls to define a default time axis view.
- Click Fnc list to access additional function keys where you can, e.g., do the following:
- Click Display item to view detailed item information
- Click Shift between planning time to toggle between using the planned time or the production time as the planning time in the time axis. An asterisk is displayed next to the Plan time or Prod time field denoting the current view. Note: This function key is only available if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated in the company in which you are working, and if the item type is 1 (End item) or 2 (Sub-assembly).
- Click Warehouse balance to access the Warehouse balance enquiry for the item.
- Click Inventory contract balance to access the Inventory contract balance enquiry for the item where you can view the balances for all inventory contract lines, per inventory contract, regardless of the status, available quantity, start and end dates. Note: This function key is only available if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated and an item was entered that is connected to an inventory contract.
- You access the next Time axis enquiry, Inventory panel, listing all order lines for the purchase/sales order. The following information is displayed:
- T
- Different codes are displayed in this column to denote the type of order.
Code Description S Sales order P Purchase order M+ Manufacturing order M- Reservation to manufacturing order PR Project order MO Manual order TO Temporary order MR Manual reservation IS Internal replenishment sales order, delivery from whs IP Internal replenishment purchase order, delivery to whs BCH Batch which matures or expires - P
- Displays a priority code for sales orders. Valid codes are between 1 and 9 where 1 has the highest priority and 9 the lowest.
- Order
- Displays the order number.
- Name/Bch/Desc
- The following types of information could be displayed:
- For Sales and Purchase orders, the customer/supplier name is displayed
- For Batches with date handling, the batch identification is displayed
- For Internal replenishment orders, the identification of the warehouse where the goods are being delivered from/to is displayed
- For Project orders, the identification of the project phase is displayed
Note: This field is blank for manufacturing orders.
- Rec/Mat
- The following types of information could be displayed:
- For Purchase orders, Manufacturing orders and Manual orders, the reception time is displayed.
- For Batches with date handling, the date from which this batch is available for sale is displayed (same as Incubation date from Batch file).
Note: This field is blank for manufacturing order reservations.
- Del/Exp
- Two types of information could be displayed:
- For Sales orders, Manual reservations and reservations for manufacturing orders, the dispatch date is displayed.
- For Batches with date handling, the date from which this batch is no longer available for sale is displayed (same as Last arrival date from Batch file).
- Stat
- Displays the status of the order line. Refer to the Panel help for further information about status codes.
- Quantity
- Displays the quantity on the order or batch.
- Avail/day
- Displays the available quantity. Note: This column will be empty if you are viewing information for all warehouses (meaning you entered 999 in the Warehouse field on the initial panel).
Tip: Select an order and click Order or Order line to access the Purchase order enquiry or Sales order enquiry and view detailed information. You also have the possibility to click Shift info and Change view to change the panel mode. Refer to the Panel help for detailed information.
From this panel you have several options. You can:
To exemplify, click Order lines to view all entered sales/purchase order lines.
Outside planning time
A dotted line through the panel is displayed to differentiate between order lines within the planning time and those outside the planning time. The order lines outside the planning time never influence the available quantity today. This is because you can always get new supplies to cover that order.
