This program is relevant only if the EU reporting function is activated. On the INTRASTAT declaration, the statistical value of the delivered or received goods must be declared. The statistical value is the value of the goods at the border of the trader country without the additional costs (so called ancillary costs), such as freight and insurance costs.
The statistical value is calculated based on the invoice value, adjusting with a negative or positive percentage, depending on the terms of delivery. This percentage is defined in this table. The percentages vary for the same goods, depending on where it is being delivered (for example, you have a larger freight cost delivering from Belgium to Greece than from Belgium to Germany).
The purpose of the border values is to enable adding or deducting an additional (i.e. ancillary) cost from the place of delivery to the border. When updating the EU statistics file, the ancillary cost will be calculated based on the sales/purchase amount and the percentage defined in this table for the terms of delivery.
