Create/update year end transactions

The following describes how to create transactions and nil balance for all of the accounts defined for phase 1.

Tip: You should run a simulation of year end transactions before you create and update the transactions. (See Simulate year end transactions.)

  1. Select the Create year end transactions menu item.
  2. You access Year end transaction creation. Enter information in the following fields:
    Phase
    Select the phase you want to update by entering the number of the phase (here, enter 1).
    Simulation
    Set to NO.
    Accounting period
    The system proposes the actual period. Enter the period that you want the created year end transactions to update.
    Voucher date
    The system proposes today’s date. Enter the voucher date that you want your year end transactions to receive.
    Voucher type
    Enter a voucher type that is valid for the C/YE (Create year end transactions) routine. The voucher type controls the voucher numbering for the year end transactions.

    Click OK to submit the update. The system will inform you when the update is ready. Note: The system prints a warning on the G/L year end transaction update list if you have set up year end accounts to include an account more than once within the same phase. The system will print the warning on the same line as the account that occurs more than once. This has no actual impact on the update since the system does not create any nil transactions.

    All transactions will receive a document number according to the rules defined for the document type connected to the GLB (G/L batch transactions) system document type.
