Event types enquiry (EDSD10104)
On this panel you are able to view the basic properties of the event types used for DC1 Alert Management. From this panel you are also able to view other control files and tables that are related to each event type.
- Event type
- Displays the name of the selected event type.
- Description
- Displays the description of the selected event type.
- Active
- Indicates if the selected event type is active.
- Driver program
- Displays the name of the driver program that is used for this event type. Note: This value is automatically set to EDSR370 as default. It is recommended that you keep the default, as this is the DC1 standard program which is used to drive DC1 Alert Management. This field has been created with the possibility to assign another program should your System Administrator want to create one.
- Data queue routine
- Displays the data queue routine name.
- Number of parameters
- Indicates the number of parameters that are used for this event type.
- Hold limits
- Indicates if limitations have been created for one or more of the parameters used for this event type, meaning the parameters are holding limits.
- Hold filters
- Indicates if filters have been created for one or more of the parameters used for this event type, meaning the parameters are holding filters. Filters are created at a later time in the process of working with event types.
- Valid for hours
- The number of hours entered in this field will be added to the creation time of messages. This is then displayed on the Work with messages panel. This value does not, however, delay the presentation of the message to the user in any way.
Note: This value is also used to determine if old messages that have not been responded to can be deleted. These messages will remain in the AMT-message database. During the reorganisation run of AMT messages (via the AMT-Message reorganisation menu item) all messages that have not been responded to will be deleted if the Valid until date is in the past (i.e., today’s date is less than the Valid until date). The Valid until date is calculated from the value entered in this (Valid for hours) field.
- Alert header text
- Displays the text that will be used as the header for this event type when an alert is created. This is the header that users will see once an alert is sent to them.
- Use create API
- Indicates which program is used for API purposes and is defaulted to EDSR020.
- Restart possibility
- Indicates if the messages that are created for this event type should be written to a backup file at the time of their creation. YES for selected events indicates that you want to have the created messages saved for future reference, should the data queue be interrupted and then having to be re-started for some reason.
- Escalation days
- Displays the number of days that will pass before this message is considered old enough to be escalated to a next level user.
- Escalation program
- Displays the name of a particular program that is used when escalation is performed. If no value is entered, then a default program will be used.
