In this routine you create printouts to analyse depreciations, both in the past and in the future, for a maximum of five years or thirteen periods at a time. By selecting future years/periods, the list can be used as a simulation list. You create the list for one depreciation type at a time.
Note: It is also possible to print residual values instead of depreciation values.
Budget assets can also be included in the selection if you want to see the cost impact of your planned investment. The result of a printout can be stored in a work file. You define the sequence on this panel and make the selection on the next panel. The last panel is where you specify the year/period, etc., and the printout parameters.
Sequence
- Asset type
- Asset group
- Responsible
- Asset account group
- Quality
- Acquisition type
- Cost centre
Only displayed if cost centre accounting is allowed. - Project
Only displayed if project accounting is allowed. - User defined 1-8
The names of these eight user-defined fields are retrieved from the Heading location 1-8 fields in the ASM control file.
- New page
- For each sequence, indicate if the list should break per sequence and print on a new page.

Depreciation time axis list printout (AACD5003)
On this panel you enter the specifications and printout parameters.
- Depreciation type
- Enter the depreciation type for this depreciation time axis report.
- Year selection
- Enter the from/to year range selection for this depreciation time axis report. Year selection cannot be entered if Period selection is completed.
- Period selection
- Enter the from/to period range selection for this depreciation time axis report. Period selection cannot be entered if Year selection is completed.
- Depreciation values
- Indicate if depreciation values should be retrieved. YES is defaulted.
- Residual values
- Indicate if residual values (i.e. acquisition value minus accumulated depreciation per year or period) should be retrieved. If YES, the Depreciation values field must be NO, and Residual value must be set to YES for the depreciation type.
- Balance assets only
- Indicate if you only want balance assets to be included on the printout. YES is defaulted. If you change to NO, then budget assets will also be included.
- Totals only
- Indicate if you only want totals (sub and grand totals) printed on the list. The subtotals to be printed depend on the sequence defined.
- Create work file
- Indicate if you want to keep the result of the printout in a work file, which can e.g., be transferred to a PC for further handling in a spreadsheet program. Note: If Totals only is set to YES, then the lowest break level will be written to the file.
- Library/File name
- In the first input field, enter the name of the library where you want to store the work file. In the second field, enter the file name. If such a file already exists in the library, then a message will appear. You must then click OK once again to replace the existing file.
