Edit conversion set (CVTD1021)

The purpose of this program is to create/edit conversion sets in which you define the name(s) of the library where the file(s) from which you want to convert data, is/are stored. You can also enter a program to run before and after converting data.

The panel is divided into two parts. In the upper part of the panel you define general information about the conversion set. In the bottom part of the panel you enter the name(s) of the libraries where the file(s) from which you want to convert data is/are stored. Press Enter when you have completed all the information.

Conversion set
Enter a unique conversion set name that will identify the new record you are creating. This field can only be maintained in Create mode.
Conversion sequence
Mandatory entry. Enter a sequence number. The sequence number determines the order in which the conversion sets will be run.
Description
Target library
Enter the name of the library where the target files to which you want to convert data into are stored. This field is optional since the library name is only used if the Target file library field on the Edit specification (CVTD3021) panel is *CVTSETTGT.
Pgm to run before
If you want to execute a specific program before execution of this conversion set, enter the program name here. This program will be the first to run, when executing this conversion set.

On the Confirm conversion items to run (CVTD6051) panel, the item function of this program will be *RUNBEFSET (RUN BEFore SET). Note: If you enter a program name, the library containing this program must exist in the library list when executing this conversion set. Otherwise the entry for the *RUNBEFSET function will not be found.

Pgm to run after
If you want to execute a specific program after execution of this conversion set, enter the program name here. This program will be run last of all when executing this conversion set.

On the Confirm conversion items to run (CVTD6051) panel, the item function of this program will be *RUNAFTSET (RUN AFTer SET). Note: If you enter a program name, the library containing this program must exist in the library list when executing this conversion set. Otherwise the entry for the *RUNAFTSET function will not be found.

Seq
Displays the sequence in which the source file libraries will searched.
Src library
Enter the name(s) of the library where the source file(s) from which you want to convert data is/are stored. These fields are optional because the library names are only used if the Source file library field on the Edit specification (CVTD3021) panel is *CVTSETSRC. The libraries are searched in sequential order to find the source file.
Library description
Displays the text description for the entry in the Src library field.
