This document contains detailed information about event messages.
This panel displays the messages that you have received from DC1 Alert Management. You are able to deny, access and act upon these messages from this panel.
DC1 Alert Management is a system that uses parameters, limitations and filters to monitor certain events in DC1. For example, if you work in the Accounts Receivable department and are responsible for dealing with outstanding payments, then the system may be arranged in such a way that you receive messages informing you of customers who have amounts outstanding for more than 60 days. However, DC1 Alert Management can be used in a vast number of ways and messages can relate to almost anything that the System Administrator configures.
Note: Restrictions can be defined in Work with authority groups that prevent users from handling messages.

Options
Open | Select this option to access a message. |
Approve | Select this option to approve a message. |
Reject | Select this option to deny messages. By reading the Event and Type text on this panel, you may realise that a message you have received for an event either requires no action nor is it intended for you. This option will delete the message from your in-box. |
More info | Select this option to read more information about a message. |
Actions | Select this option to take action on a message. |
Escalate | Select this option to escalate a message to the next level. |
Reset | Select this option to restore the global settings for a message. |

Selection fields
- Event
- This column lists the names of the events for which you have received a message.
- Text
- This column lists the header texts of the messages that you have received.
- Status
- This column lists the statuses of the events for which you have received a message.
- Description
- This column lists the descriptions of the events for which you have received a message.
Work with messages (EDSD25004)
On this panel you are able to view the details of the messages you have received. You are also able to access further procedures via the function keys.

Actions | Access the panel in which the actions that are associated with a message can be viewed and, if applicable, performed. |
- User
- Displays the name of the user who has received the message (i.e. your user ID and description).
- Event type
- Displays the type of event that has occurred and for which you have received the message.
- Created by
- Displays the user who created and sent this message.
- Created
- Displays the date on which this message was created.
- Time
- Displays the time when this event was created.
- Valid until
- Displays the date until which this message will remain active. Up until this date you will be able to act upon the message.
- Time
- Displays the time, on the date indicated in Valid until, when this message will expire.

On this panel you are able to view more precise details of the message you have received.
- User
- Displays the name of the user who has received a message (i.e. your user ID and description).
- Event type
- Displays the type of event that has occurred and for which you have received a message.
Text
This section displays the details of the message, such as Routine, Program name, Number, etc.
Work with messages, Reply (EDSD25008)
On this panel you are required to confirm that you want to deny or accept the messages that you selected on the previous panel. Click OK to confirm. The message will now be cleared from your in-box. Click Back to cancel.

- Parameter
- Enter a parameter name, from Work with event types, that you want to include in the search.
- Parameter value
- Enter a value for the event parameter that you want to include in the search.
