The Forecast period file displays one calendar year which is divided into forecast periods. These forecast periods are defined in the Forecast period type and No of periods/year fields in the IC control file.
Each record represents 1 forecast period and is identified by a sequence number. The file represents one calendar year in time.
In this file, you can maintain the description and the short description for each forecast period. These descriptions are used throughout the DC1 Inventory Control system. By giving each forecast period a description, you make it easier to identify specific forecast periods within the system.
Note: You cannot add or delete the forecast periods in this file, and you cannot generate new forecast periods once data exists in the Forecast file.
