The purpose of this program is to enter parameters for the simulation of a product configuration.
Function keys
Restart configuration | Only displayed in change mode.
Restart the configuration. This will reset the “Accept status” for the configuration and retrieve new prices and weight for the item. |
Configuration | Perform the configuration with the defined parameters. |
- Item
- The code that identifies the item for which a configuration should be simulated. Note: The item must be defined in the Configurator item table and it must also be defined as a configurator item in the Item file (Item class=3).
- Warehouse
- The code that identifies the warehouse that is used for the item in the Configurator item table.
If the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) function is activated in the Function control file, the warehouse entered must be classified as a normal or trade (logical) warehouse (i.e. the Warehouse characteristic flag in Work with warehouses must be set to 1 (normal) or 2 (trade). See About the stock ownership functionality for more information.
- Config parameter
-
Note: The configurator parameter code, which is connected to the configurator item, is automatically retrieved by the system.
- Quantity stock unit
- The quantity on which the configuration is to be based.
- Simulation date
- The simulation date. This date is used for retrieving valid entries when generating a bill of material, bill of routing and for retrieving costing values, prices etc.
- Gross weight
- This field is only displayed if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. The total gross weight, retrieved from the Item file unit information, and gross weight for configured components where the Calculate weight is set to YES on the Configurator BOM maintenance panel. Note: Weight calculation is not used for the configuration of order structure items.
- Amount
- The amount in system currency.
- Net weight
- This field is only displayed if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. The total net weight, retrieved from the Item file unit information, and net weight for configured components where the Calculate weight field is set to YES on the Configurator BOM maintenance panel. Note: Weight calculation is not used for the configuration of order structure items.
- Cost price
- The cost price, calculated and retrieved by the system. Cost price is calculated in the configuration process if Product costing is set to YES (1,2,3 or 4) on the Configurator item maintenance panel. The cost price will include VAT if VAT included is set to YES. Note: Product costing is not used for the configuration of order structure items.
- Planner
- The signature of the planner. If this field is left blank the system will retrieve the current user.
- Creation date
- The date when the simulation was created or changed.
- Item category
- The “configured” item category 1 – 6 if item category is defined in the configurator tables to be used to follow-up configurations in the sales statistics.
