This panel displays the application identifiers that are pre-loaded in the system as well as those that have been manually added. They are used in the barcode scanning functionality allowing your scanner to recognize/understand the character string that is generated from the scanner when scanning barcoded labels during reception and picking.
Options
Selection fields
- Identifier
- This column lists the ID of the application identifier.
- Description
- This column lists the description of the application identifier.
- Length
- This column lists the length of the application identifier denoting how many characters make up the identifier.
- Fixed
- This column denotes if the length of the application identifier is a fixed length.
- Separator
- If the application identifier is not a fixed length, a separator must be used to separate the characters of each identifier. This column lists the separator used for the application identifier.

On this panel you enter/view the details of the application identifiers.
Function keys
- Identifier
- Enter the ID of the application identifier.
- Description
- Enter the description of the application identifier.
- Length
- Enter the numeric value denoting the length of the application identifier, i.e. how many characters make up the identifier.
- Fixed
- Set this field to YES if the length of the application identifier is a fixed length, i.e. there is a fixed number of characters for the contents of this identifier.
- Separator
- This field is only applicable if the length of the application identifier is not a fixed length. When manually adding an identifier that is not a fixed length, enter the character used to separate the contents of this identifier from other identifiers.
- Reference field
- This is the identity of the field that the identifier is pointing to. When manually adding an identifier, enter the panel field reference to which this identifier applies on the scan panels.

- Identifier
- Displays the application identifier you selected to copy.
- New identifier
- Enter the new application identifier you are creating.
