Options
Liquid entry | Only allowed for liquid entries. Select this option to access the A/R liquid entry panel. |
Connected payments | Only allowed for liquid entries. Select this option to work with all the payments that are connected to the liquid entry. |
Settled documents | Only valid if settlements are made with the selected document. Select this option to access the A/R transactions enquiry, Settled documents panel to view all the settlements for the document. Note: Contrary to the Settlement option on this panel, the selected document in this case does not have to be the main settlement document for the settlement you want to view. |

G/L transaction | If the selected voucher type is also valid for the GL routine, i.e., manual G/L transaction entry, then use this function key to switch to that routine. |

Work with A/R payment entries, Transaction entry (FSR04004)
On this panel you enter A/R payments. Note: When the document you are working with, even if it is the main document of a settlement, has already been settled, you cannot maintain the document until the settlement is cancelled. If the Doc tpe/no to settle fields have been entered, then you can blank them to cancel the direct settlement on this panel. If these fields are blank, you will access the settlement panel when you click OK.
This panel is used for different purposes and, therefore, the header fields differ depending on if you are:
- adding a payment entry,
- changing a sundry debtor payment, or
- changing a cheque payment.
Function keys
Settlement | Access the A/R settlement workbench. |
Liquid entry | Only available if you are maintaining a liquid entry document. Access the applicable A/R liquid entry panel. |
Sundry debtor info | Only available if the debtor is a sundry debtor. Access the Sundry debtor information entry panel. |
Liquid entry
If you are working with a liquid entry, then the following three fields are displayed to the right in the header.
- Document type
- The document type is protected if working within a liquid entry.
- Document number
- Document date
- Debtor number
- Enter the debtor number, which is the same as the customer number if no debtor is defined for the customer.
- Doc tpe/no to settle
- Enter a document type and number of an invoice to settle the payment directly. A partial settlement is made if the payment does not create a full settlement. Refer to the different scenarios and the related figures in the table below.
- If an invoice is settled with an amount that is less than the full invoice amount to be paid, but the payment amount exceeds the expected amount, taking the granted cash discount amount into consideration, then the invoice is fully settled and, in this case, the payment remains open.
- If the payment amount is less than the expected amount for the invoice, i.e., when taking the granted cash discount into consideration, but still being within the difference limit set for the hidden discount, both the invoice and the payment will be fully settled together with both discount documents, which will be created.
- If the payment amount is less than the expected amount for the invoice with the difference limit for hidden discount being exceeded, the payment will be fully settled, but no discount documents will be created and the invoice will remain open.

This panel is shown for sundry debtors. It is mandatory to enter name and address if the payment document is not fully settled.
Liquid entry
If you are working with a liquid entry, the following three fields are displayed to the right in the header.
- Document type
- The code indicates the type of document you are working with.
- Debtor number
- Displays the sundry debtor number of the document.
- Document number
- The number indicates which document you are working with.
- Document date
- Displays the document date of the document you are working with.
- Text
- Displays free text entered for the document.
- Name
- Enter the name of the sundry debtor.
- Address
- Country
- Displays the country code defined for the sundry debtor.

This panel displays the payment documents connected to the liquid entry. The heading differs depending on the liquid entry type. This panel is used for different purposes and, therefore, the header fields differ depending on if you are:
- adding a payment entry,
- changing a sundry debtor payment, or
- changing a cheque payment.
