Work with item groups (DMR02901)

The entries in this table are used:

  • In the Item file to group items together
  • In the Sales pricing methods file for giving discounts to customers
  • In the Item classification routine when building a grouping structure. The Item group is one of the 12 item related keys allowed to be assigned as an Item classification entity at DIS control file level (i.e. as one of the following: Item classification main group, Item classification group, Item classification profile 1 or Item classification profile 2).
  • As a statistics parameter which can be used by the DC1 Report Writer

Note: When the item group is active within item classification, deletion is not allowed if the code is being used by the applicable item classification entity (i.e. Item classification main group, Item classification group, Item classification profile 1 or Item classification profile 2).
