Work with fictitious item types (DMR03001)

Fictitious item types are used for indicating if the item is to be printed on pick lists, if the cost price can be zero when entering a sales order line and if the cost price is to be retrieved from the Standard cost price in the Item file when entering a sales order line. In addition, if DC1 Service is installed and activated, the fictitious item type is used as classification of items on the work in progress report. Fictitious item types are used only for fictitious items.

Function keys

Fictitious item type

Fict itm on pick list
Indicate if a fictitious item with this fictitious item type shall be printed on pick lists. Note: If a fictitious item appears as a component within a structure and the structure type indicates that components should not be printed on pick list, the YES/NO code in this table is ignored. This means that if this field is set to YES and the equivalent is set to NO in the Structure type table the item will NOT be printed on the pick list.
Fict zero cost allwd
Indicate if the cost entered during Sales order entry for fictitious items/components with this fictitious item type can be zero.

For fictitious items, the stock value is not accounted according to transaction type 901. Instead, 903 is used.

  • If this field is not set to YES, meaning that the cost price is not allowed to be zero, a cost price has to be defined when the order line is entered to calculate the value for transaction type 903. Transaction type 903 and 800 or 801 will be created. If the cost price is not allowed to be zero, either you can enter a cost price manually on the sales order line, or the system can retrieve the cost price automatically from the Standard cost field in the Item file (irrespective of the cost type in the system).
  • If this field is set to YES, meaning that the cost price is allowed to be zero, the system does not create transaction type 903 at all; nor are transaction types 800 or 801 created.
Fict std cost retr
Indicate if the standard cost should be retrieved from the Item file for the fictitious item/component with this fictitious item type, as the default, when entering sales order lines.

Auto confirm
Set this field to YES if fictitious items connected to this fictitious item type should be automatically confirmed during the picking process. A manual confirmation for this kind of pick line will not be possible. The actual quantity will automatically be updated with suggested quantity when the first pick list line is updated.
