Function keys
Create job description | Create a job description if the default job description should not be used. Note: Each scheduled job entry must have a job description attached. The main purpose of the job description is to define a set of libraries needed to start the requested action, e.g. time calculation. The initial library list, as it is called, will automatically be determined by the system when the job description is created. |
- Job name
- Enter a name of the job.
- Description
- Enter a description of the job.
- Scheduled time
- Enter the scheduled start time of the job.
- Scheduled days
- Indicate for each week day if the job will be executed.
- Start/Stop subsystem
- If the job is a time calculation job, then this field must be set to NO. If the job is start or stop of the system process, then set to YES if the subsystem should be started or stopped by the job.
- Program
- Displays the name of the CL program to be called. The value cannot be changed since only time calculation jobs can be added.
- Version
- Enter a version number if the job is a time calculation job. The version must be an existing version in Work with batch jobs.
- Job description
- Enter a name of the job description to be used when the job is executed.
- Library
- Enter the name of the OS/400 library containing the job description.
- User profile
- Enter the user profile to be used when the job is executed. This is important in order to have proper authority in DC1 Time to perform actions, e.g. time calculation.
