Work with parameter for role (EDSD02401)

The purpose of this panel is to configure the positions of the parameters that are used for particular roles that have been activated as receivers for an event. This is done so as to determine in which order fields in the system are found. For example, when searching for a particular order line number in a certain order, you would configure the parameters in such a way that order numbers would be found first. The parameter thereafter would be for the order line number.

Note: This program is only used when a role of type 2 or 3 is activated as a receiver.

The three different types are:

Type Description
1 User-defined role (user profile)
2 DC1 role (signature)
3 BP-role (Business partner related role; contact)

Options

Event type
Displays the event type for which you are configuring the role’s parameter positions.
Role
Displays the name of the role for which you are configuring the parameter positions.

Seq
This column lists the sequence numbers of the parameters.
Parameter
This column lists the names of the parameters for the selected role.
Description
This column lists the descriptions of the role’s parameters.
Pos
If a parameter has been assigned a position, then indicates the position number.

Event type
Displays the event type for which you are configuring the role’s parameter positions.
Role
Displays the name of the role that you are configuring the parameter positions for.
Sequence
Displays the sequence number for parameter that you are working with. This field may not be changed.
Parameter
Displays the name of the parameter that you are configuring positions for. This field may not be changed.

Parm number for role
Enter the position list number that you want this parameter to be allocated for this role. For example, when searching for a particular order line number in a certain order, you would configure the parameters in positions where the order numbers would be found first. The second position would be for the order line number. This field may be changed for existing records.
