Work with usage curves (AACD11501)

These entries are used for depreciation rules based on one usage per period. They are convenient for depreciating assets which are used irregularly over the years (e.g. when you want depreciations to reflect the actual usage rather than a fixed percentage). The preloaded rule USAGE (Variable rate) is based on usage curves defined in this program.

You access a panel where you can define usage curve periods.

Selection fields

Curve
This column lists the usage curves that have been defined.
Description
Displays a description of the related usage curve.
Total quantity
Displays the total quantity for the related usage curve.
Quantity unit
Displays the unit of the quantity.
Decimals for unit
Displays the number of decimals used for the quantity.

Function keys

Curve
This field cannot be changed.
Description
Total quantity
Enter the total quantity for the usage curve. You may not allocate more than this total quantity to the depreciation periods.
Quantity unit
Mandatory entry. Enter the unit of the quantity.
Decimals for unit
Enter the number of decimals used for the quantity. Valid values are between 0 and 3.
