The following describes how to perform an action that is included in an AMT message. Only messages that contain actions of type 2 (that rely on calling another program to perform these) may be used to perform an action.
- Select the Work with messages menu item.
- On the main panel, select the applicable message and click Actions.
- You access Work with message actions. Click Parameters.
- You access Work with message actions, Parameters listing the various parameters that are used in this message’s action. Depending on your authority, you can maintain the parameters by clicking Change. Once you have completed this, click Perform action.
- The system will ask you if you want to update the status of this message, and delete it, once you have completed the procedure. Here, set to YES and click OK. Note: The Update message status panel is only displayed if the Display status panel field in Work with actions is set to YES for the event type.
- Depending on what the action for the message is, the system now calls the program that you need to work your way through.
- Once you have completed the required steps you can return to the Work with messages panel, where you will note that the message you performed the action for has been deleted. Exit the routine.
