Work with material safety data sheets, Table fields (DIR72601)

On this panel you enter the data for the fields defined in the MSDS definition file for the MSDS/Section/Sub-section.

Function keys

Update and return Update the data entered and return to the previous panel.

Code
If the field is defined as being table controlled, i.e. the Table field in the MSDS definition file is completed, enter a valid code from the applicable table. If the field is not defined as a table, this field is not input capable. Instead the Value field should be completed.

If this field is input capable, one of the following applies:

  • the field is defined as mandatory, i.e. you have to enter a value from the applicable table.
  • the field is defined as option, i.e. if you leave the field blank, the system will accept it without any warnings.
  • the field is defined as a “warning-field”, i.e. if you leave the field blank, the system will send you a warning message which can be ignored by clicking OK again.
Value
If the field is defined as a non-table controlled field, i.e. the Table field in the MSDS definition file is blank, any value can be entered in this field.

If this field is input capable, one of the following applies:

  • the field is defined as mandatory, i.e. you have to enter something.
  • the field is defined as option, i.e. if you leave the field blank, the system will accept it without any warnings.
  • the field is defined as a “warning-field”, i.e. if you leave the field blank, the system will send you a warning message which can be ignored by clicking OK again.
