Work with window definitions (WNDD1101)

This program is used to create Window definitions. The panel displays all Window definitions and corresponding description that have been set up in your system. You can add, change or delete records.

Options

This option can only be selected if you first enter a name of a window in the Window field which does not already exist, and a subset.

Rename Select this option to rename an existing record.

Function keys

Shift info Toggle between displaying the Description and Identity/Modification number/Change date on the panel.
Sort by name/description Display the window in description or name order.

Subset
Displays the subset you selected, and all windows with this subset are displayed on the panel. When you first reach this panel, the default subset is *ALL. You can select a subset by clicking Select subset.
Position to
Enter the starting character(s) of a window to position the listing.

Window
Enter the name of the window that you want to create.
Subset
Enter the subset to which the window belongs. Then select the Add option.

Description
Displays the description of the window, which will be displayed as the heading wherever this window is displayed.
Identity
Modno
Chg date

Copy window (WNDD1103)

On this panel you copy the details for a window to another window. If this other window already exists, another panel will be displayed, where you must confirm the copying.

Window
Displays the name of the window from which details are to be copied.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset from which details are to be copied.
New Name
Mandatory entry. Enter the name of the window to which details are to be copied.
New subset
Enter the name of the subset to which details are to be copied.

New Id

Confirm copy of window (WNDD1105)

This panel is displayed if the window to which details are to be copied already exists. You have the option to delete the existing window, or cancel the copying.

Function keys

Cancel Cancel the copying and leave the panel. Your selections will remain on the selection panel.
Window which exists
Displays the name of the window which already exists.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset to which the existing window belongs.
Window to copy
Displays the name of the window you copy from.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset to which the window you copy from belongs.

Delete existing Window
This field is set to YES by default, meaning that the existing window will be deleted, and a new window, with the same name, will be created with details from the copied window. If you set this field to NO, the copying will be cancelled, and your selection will not remain on the selection panel.

Confirm delete of window (WNDD1106)

This panel displays the window(s) you have selected to delete. Click OK to confirm the deletion, or Back to cancel.

Function keys

Cancel Cancel the deletion and leave the panel. Your selections will remain on the selection panel.
Window
Displays the name of the window you want to delete.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset to which the window you want to delete belongs.
Description
Displays the description of the window you want to delete.

Rename menu window (WNDD1108)

On this panel you rename a window to another name. If the other name already exists, another panel will be displayed, where you must confirm the renaming.

Window
Displays the name of the window which is to be renamed.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset from which details are to be copied.

New Name
Mandatory entry. Enter the new name of the window.

Confirm rename of window (WNDD1100)

This panel is displayed if the new window name already exists. You get an option to delete the existing window, or cancel the renaming.

Function keys

Cancel Cancel the renaming and leave the panel. Your selections will remain on the selection panel.
Window which exists
Displays the name of the window which already exists.
Subset
Displays the name of the subset to which the existing window belongs.
Window to rename
Displays the name of the window you want to rename.

Delete existing Window
This field is set to YES by default, meaning that the existing window will be deleted, and a new window, with the same name, will be created with details copied from the window to rename. If you set this field to NO, the renaming will be cancelled, and your selection will not remain on the selection panel.
