- Time
- Enter the time that the updates are to be performed. This field is used in conjunction with the Effective date parameter.
- Empty fields
- Indicate if the proposal is updating fields with empty (i.e. null or blank) values.
Caution: If this field is set to YES when the update is performed the system will convert whatever information that you specified in a New values field, to blank or zero during the update.
A proposal only handles one type of update at the time:
- Normal update
- Empty fields update
A normal update (field is set to NO) will allow all new information that was entered in selected New values fields to be updated to either the Item or Business partner.
An empty fields update (field is set to YES) will convert all new information that was entered in selected New values fields to blanks or zeros. This means that the way to set a field to a null value would be by entering any character in a New values field. When the update is performed the system will convert that to a null value.
Note: An empty field update is typically used to safely remove or blank-out information from selected items or business partners.
- Validate new values
- Indicate if new values should be validated (i.e. checked for errors).
