This panel displays parameters for each event. From here you are also able to access and view the basic properties of these parameters.
Options
Replacements | Select this option to view parameter value replacements. |
Limits | Select this option to view limits for a parameter. |
Filters | Select this option to view filters for a parameter. |
- Event type
- Displays the name and description of the selected event.
- Seq
- This column displays the sequence order in which this parameter will be considered, within this event. The parameter with the lowest sequence number will be processed first, followed by the next lowest number and so on.
- Parameter
- This column lists the names of the parameters that have been configured for the selected event.
- Description
- This column lists the descriptions of the parameters for the selected event type.
- M/O
- Indicates if the parameter is mandatory (M) or optional (O).
- Ufr
- Indicates if the parameter is used to find users.
- Dig
- The digit shown in this column displays the number of spaces that make up the length of the parameter, thereby determining its start and end.
- Dec
- The digit shown in this column indicates the number of decimal points that are in place for the parameter. The field can be changed for existing records.
- Lim
- Indicates if the parameter is used for limitations.
- Fil
- Indicates if the parameter is used for filters.
Event parameters enquiry (EDSD10204)
On this panel you are able to view the defined properties of the parameters that are used for the events in DC1 Alert Management.
- Event type
- Displays the name and description of the selected event type.
- Sequence
- Displays the sequence number that this parameter should be processed in. The lower the number shown here, the sooner in the chain of process it will be executed.
- Parameter
- Displays the name of the selected parameter.
- Description
- Displays the description of the selected parameter.

- Indicates if this parameter is used to find receivers.
- Used for escalation
- Indicates if this parameter is used for the purposes of escalating or promoting a record.
- Used for limitation
- Indicates if this parameter is to be used as a limitation for the event.
- Used for filter
- Indicates if this parameter is to be used as a limitation for the event.
- Used in header text
- Indicates if you want this parameter to be used in the text of headers in messages that are sent.
- Mandatory/optional
- Indicates if you want this parameter to be a mandatory element in this event, or optional.
- Type
- Indicates the type of the parameter.

- Number of digits
- Displays the number of digits indicating the length this parameter should have in the database in which it shall be processed.
- Decimals
- Displays the point at which a decimal (if at all) should be included in this parameter when processed in a database.
