This panel displays information concerning the conversion of data, such as source file, target file, if any program should be executed before/after the conversion etc.

- Conversion set
- Displays the conversion set to which the specification you are displaying belongs.
- Specification name
- Displays the name of the conversion specification.
- Subset
- Displays the subset to which the specification belongs.
- Identity
- PTF/Mod number
- Conversion sequence
- This sequence number determines the order in which the specifications within a conversion set will be executed.
- Change date
- Description
- Displays a description of the conversion specification.
- Target file
- Displays the name of the file to which you want to convert data.
- Source file
- Displays the name of the file from which you want to convert data. This file is considered as the main file. You can display the additional files by pressing F9. A maximum of four additional files are allowed.
- Target file library
- Displays the name of the library containing the file to which you want to convert data. If *LIBL is displayed, the current library list is searched to find the target file. If *CVTSETTGT is displayed, the library defined in the Target library field on the Display conversion set (CVTD1051) panel will be searched to find the target file.
- Source file library
- Displays the name of the library containing the file from which you want to convert data. If *LIBL is displayed, the current library list is searched to find the source file. If *CVTSETSRC is displayed, the libraries defined in the Src lib field on the Display conversion set (CVTD1051) panel will be searched to find the source file.
- Target file member
- Displays the name of the member in the to file to which you want to convert data. If *FIRST is displayed, the first member in the to file will be used.
- Source file member
- Displays the name of the member in the from file from which you want to convert data. If *FIRST is displayed, the first member in the from file will be used.
- Source file ID
- Displays a two-character identity code by which the main file is identified.
- Target file clear
- Indicates if the physical file member should be cleared before converting data.
- Source file dec sign
- Displays the sign used as decimal separator in the source file.
- Run specification
- Indicates if the actual data conversion task for this specification is run.
- Pgm to run before
- Displays the program to run before converting the file(s).
- Attempt copy file
- Indicates if the data conversion from the source file to the target file is attempted using the CPYF (Copy file) command.
- Pgm to run after
- Displays the program to run after the conversion has been performed.
- Preload at execution
- Indicates if you want to preload the file format in this specification every time it is run.
- Bespoke program
- Displays the name of the program that will be used to perform the data conversion.
- Field mask
- Displays how to compare field names when the specification is preloaded. The preloading function tries to match the fields in the source file(s) with the fields in the target file, to find their from-to positions.
- Text mask
- Displays how to compare field text when the specification is preloaded. The preloading function tries to match the fields in the from file(s) with the fields in the to file, to find the from-to positions. An asterisk indicates that a certain position in the field text should not be included in the comparison.
Example: Text mask = **********************************
The first 10 positions in the field text must match in the from and to file.
