Two names are valid for this panel, depending on how you accessed the panel:
If you accessed this panel via an Item field, this panel prompts with the Select item panel name. The sub-heading Template: displays the template currently selected. The first panel displayed will correspond to that applicable for the Template.
If you accessed this panel via a Cross reference item field, this panel prompts with the Select cross reference item panel name.
This panel is accessed from all programs where either the window prompt icon was clicked in an input capable Item code field or Item cross reference field or you entered a non-valid Item code and clicked OK. If you clicked the window prompt icon on the Promotion campaign simulation panel only items that are included in promotion campaigns (cross reference type PC) are displayed.
Default search mode
The system may have been configured to access this panel in a default search mode. When you enter a generic search string in an input-capable Item code field, click OK and an exact match was not found for the entered value, then the code defined in the DIS control file determines how the initial search for items should be performed.
Alternative search modes
This panel displays all item codes/cross reference items available, from which you can perform different tasks and look up items, depending on the option/function key you select or the fields you complete. The search for items can be done via the following search modes, depending on what has been set-up/generated in the system. See Item search alternatives in DC1 for more information:
- (Standard) Item search and Item segmentation search: The fields are displayed when you first access this window.
- Attribute search: Click the Attr function key to access this mode.
- Item classification (Characteristic) search: Click the Charact function key to access this mode.
