Work with demand data per customer (INVD80201)

If you initially selected a customer code as the single criterion for the demand data enquiry, then this panel is accessed in Maintenance mode and you will be able to change the net period demand for that customer.

The panel displays existing demand data for the whole item/warehouse and customer combination.

Options

Change Only shown if a customer code was initially selected as the single criterion for the Demand data per customer enquiry. Change the net period demand for the customer.
Orders Access the Work with demand data per customer, Orders or Demand data per customer enquiry, Orders panel where you can view the orders involved for the customer for the particular period.

Selection fields

Item
Displays the selected item.
Warehouse
Displays the selected warehouse.
Unit
Displays the item unit.
Customer
Displays the selected customer.
Period
Displays the period for which demand exists.
Description
Displays a description of the period.
Period demand
Displays the net period demand for the selected item/warehouse and customer combination.

Note: If the customer is included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast, then sales orders are not updated here. They are instead included in the Total demand (see column to the right). However, when these plans are activated, the historic demand for the customers concerned is automatically subtracted from the Period demand and instead added to the Total demand.

Total demand
Displays the total period demand for the selected item/warehouse and customer combination. Note that this value also includes the demand from the customer/item combinations that are included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast.

Note: If the customer is included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast, then sales orders are updated here. If and when these plans are in-activated or filed, the historic demand for the customers concerned is automatically subtracted from the Total demand and instead added to the Period demand (see column to the left).

If you initially selected a customer code as the single criterion for the Demand data per customer enquiry, then you can change the net period demand for that customer on this panel, if you accessed the panel via the Change option on the previous panel.

Period
Displays the selected period for which demand exists.
Description
Displays a description of the selected period.

Period demand
Displays the net period demand for the selected item/warehouse and customer combination. This field can be changed if the customer was initially selected as the single criterion for the demand data enquiry.

Note: If the customer is included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast, then sales orders are not updated to this field. They are instead included in the Total demand. However, when these plans are activated, the historic demand for the customers concerned is automatically subtracted from the Period demand and instead added to the Total demand.

Total demand
Displays the total period demand for the selected item/warehouse and customer combination. Note that this value also includes the demand from the customer/item combinations that are included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast.

Note: If the customer is included in an active demand plan of type Additional forecast, then sales orders are updated to this field. If and when these plans are in-activated or filed, the historic demand for the customers concerned is automatically subtracted from the Total demand and instead added to the Period demand.

Unit
Displays the item unit for the selected item/warehouse and customer combination.
