Define the viewers applicable when launching file types in DC1 Analyser

Note: This is optional and need only be done if you plan to use a viewer, different from your PC’s standard viewer registered on your platform.

If you have installed other viewer-type software on your PC you can force DC1 Analyser to launch that viewer instead of the standard.

Example:
A typical viewer for a .gif file is Windows Internet Explorer. If you want to launch a .gif file in another preferred viewer (for example, Netscape, Paint Shop Pro, etc.), you must first install that software and then define the path to that software’s .exe file (as described below).

To define your preferred viewers for file types do as follows:

  1. Expand System Administration and select Configuration.
  2. Toggle to the File types page.
  3. You access the Configuration view window for File types. In the fields on the bottom of the window enter the File type and the applicable .exe file (including the path where it is stored) that you want to use for opening the file. Tip: Use the Browse function to locate the .exe file. Click Set to update the information in the middle of the window. Repeat for all applicable file types for which you want to define an override viewer.
