Within DC1 Analyser you can create a hardcopy of any window and email it to the recipient as well as email the contents of any table. Before this function can be used, you must configure your E-mail settings for your PC.

  1. Expand System Administration and select Edit E-mail settings.
  2. You access the E-mail settings window. Under the E-mail section complete information in the following fields:
  3. Enabled
The default is a checkmark in this box, meaning the E-mail function is enabled. Leave as is if you want to use this function.
    Mail handler started
This field is set to NO by default. When you have configured your E-mail settings and saved, this field will be set to YES (you will see this the next time you launch this window). The E-mail… command will also be activated on the Window pull down menu.
    Server name
Mandatory entry. Enter the name of your mail server.
    Sender address
Mandatory entry. Enter your E-mail address.
    Sender name
    Enter your full name.
    Notify while sending mail
The default is a checkmark in this box. Leave as is if you want to be notified during the sending of any e-mail. You will receive a message while the system is sending e-mail.

In the last two fields complete the following information:

    Mail transfer interval in seconds
When e-mail is submitted, the mail is composed and put to a folder in your Analyser working directory. The number of seconds defined in this field determines how often the system will check this folder for e-mail. If there are email(s), they are sent to the applicable recipient. The default is 20 seconds. Leave the default or change to the number of seconds you want the system to check for mail.
Number of status reports to keep
The default is 10. Leave as is or change to the maximum number of status reports you want to log. When the maximum number has been reached, the oldest will be deleted. A status report is a log over the e-mail you sent, outlining pertinent information such as the recipient’s address, when sent, etc.

    Click Save.

  4. You return to the main window. Your E-mail settings have now been configured, meaning you will be able to use the function within the system via the following:
    • The E-mail option has now been added to the Window menu on all the windows.
    • The E-mail button is now available on the applicable window after generating an HTML page for a table.
