By entering different information on the Work with sales orders, Order lines panel, you can immediately access different Smart sales order entry panels (modes).
The different ways Smart sales order entry can be accessed from the Order lines panel include:
- Do not enter data in any fields on the Order lines panel and click Smart order entry. You will access Previous order mode with the customer’s last order displayed.
- Enter an invalid Item code and click Smart order entry. You will access Item search mode with item code or search word loaded. Note: If you enter a part of an item code, which is the short code for an item, you will access History mode instead.
- Enter an Item code or enter the short code for the item and click Smart order entry. You will access History mode, with item code loaded.
- Enter an Item code and Quantity and click Smart order entry. You will access Warehouse balance mode, with item description, quantity and unit initialised to locate warehouses for the quantity entered.
- Enter an Assortment ID and click Smart order entry. You will access Assortment mode. (See Book sales order lines from an item assortment for information on how the system retrieves the lines for the entered Assortment ID).
