Manufacturing order operations can be re-scheduled either backwards or forwards in time but they cannot be re-scheduled to a date that is earlier than today’s date.
The operations affect each other in the sense that a new operation cannot start before the previous operation has started. Two operations can run simultaneously as long as the first operation started before the second.
When re-scheduling operations backward in time, it is often necessary to re-schedule the previous operations as well. It is only possible to re-schedule an operation backward in time without re-scheduling the previous operations if the new start date is equal to or later than that of the previous operation.
When re-scheduling operations forward in time, it is often necessary to re-schedule the following operations as well. It is only possible to re-schedule an operation forward in time without re-scheduling the following operations if the new start date is equal to or earlier than that of the following operation.
An operation can be locked, meaning that it cannot be re-scheduled. This affects the re-scheduling of operations that are previous to or following an operation. If a locked operation exists among these, the re-scheduling will not be accepted. See Lock/unlock operations for information about how to lock operations for a manufacturing order.

- You return to Manufacturing order detail planning, Total priority. Click Refresh to refresh the information on the panel. The operation has been re-scheduled and the new start date and the new completion date are displayed on the panel. Exit the routine.
The operation can be re-scheduled forward or backward in time by changing either the start date or the completion date. By entering a date that is further in the future, the operation will be re-scheduled forward in time.
