Reset economical, technical and/or legal useful lifetime

Note: You can only reset one useful lifetime at a time.

    1. Select the Change of asset useful lifetime menu item.
    2. You access the main panel.

    Selection

    Complete the following fields to define what assets should be changed. Only assets that match all specified selection criteria will be changed. Either Asset type or Asset account group has to be selected.

    Asset type
    Enter a type from Work with asset types & groups indicating the asset type that should be changed.
    Asset group
    In the first input field, indicate if the program should be run for one asset group at a time. The asset group must be selected in combination with a selected asset type.
    • If the first input field is set to YES, then enter a group from Work with asset types & groups in the second input field. Only assets belonging to the selected group will be included in the run. Note that if the second field is left blank, then the blank group will be included in the run.
    • If the first input field is set to NO, then leave the second input field blank. All groups within the selected asset type will be included in the run.
    Asset account group
    Enter a group from Work with asset account groups.

    In the following three fields you indicate which useful lifetime should be changed for the selected assets. Note: Only one of the fields may be set to YES. Then you must enter a value for that field in Actual and New according to the following:

    • Enter a value in Actual to define that only assets with the corresponding life value should be changed.
    • Enter the new life value in New.
    Economic useful life
    Indicate if the economic useful time should be changed for the selected assets.
    Legal useful life
    Indicate if the legal useful time should be changed for the selected assets.
    Techn useful life
    Indicate if the technical useful time should be changed for the selected assets.
    Asset update
    Indicate if the Asset base file should be updated with the changes that are not error-marked. If this field is set to NO, then the report will be printed, but no files will be updated.
    Print errors only
    Indicate if only errors should be printed on the report. This field must be set to NO if the Asset update field is set to YES.

Enter the print parameters and click OK. Exit the routine.
