Sales restrictions

Related topics

Restrictions may be in place on the sale of either certain items, or to certain customers. The reasons for these restrictions might be due to, for example:

  • the sensitive nature of goods (e.g. weapons, chemicals) trade embargoes
  • sanctions against a particular country or region
  • the banning of a certain item being sold in a particular region
  • the customer has exceeded the allowed credit limit
  • the price of an item is too low or too high – hence affecting the profit limits

The severity of the restriction can vary; all dependent on how the system was set up. It controls how you are allowed to proceed with the order/quotation processing. See Work with restricted sales.
