This panel is accessed from the Work with sales quotation lines panel when a quotation line is entered for an item that is defined as a parent item within an order structure. That information is defaulted to this panel.
Copying quotation to sales order: if your quotation line results in a sales order, then the structure type will be copied to the sales order line. If the structure type is defined as Changeable in the Structure type table then you can also control which components are copied to the sales order.
If the item or order structure is defined as having a unique cost per serial number (i.e. the Cost type in the Item file is set to 4) then one quotation line will be created for each individual serial number, if the quantity is greater than one.
For example:
- if your parent item is made up of four different components that each have serial number costing
- and there is a sales quantity of two per component item then 8 quotation lines will be generated on your quotation.
Options

Function keys
| Select all | This function key is only displayed if the order structure is defined as Changeable in the Structure type table. Copy all lines to the quotation.

- Quotation number
- Displays the number of the quotation and cannot be changed.
- Q type
- Displays the quotation type of the quotation and cannot be changed.
- Customer
- Displays the customer number of this quotation and cannot be changed.
- Quantity
- Displays the quantity of the parent item, entered on the Work with sales quotation lines panel, but can be changed. Note: If the order structure parent item is defined as having a unique cost per serial number (the Cost type parameter in Item file is set to 4) then you will only be able to enter a quantity of 1 per quotation order line.
- Unit
- Displays the unit in which the parent item is to be sold and cannot be changed.
Note: The dispatch date of the parent item is defaulted to this field. This value can be changed.
- Item
- Displays the parent item and description in the order structure and cannot be changed.
- Job
- This field is only displayed if DC1 Service is installed and and activated and this is a service quotation. Displays the job number of the service job.
- Structure type
- Displays the structure type for this parent item and cannot be changed. This code determines different rules concerning updates and calculations for the components of this parent item, established in the Structure type table.
- Line
- Displays the line number for the component line.
- Component
- Displays the item identification of the component which belongs to the parent item.
- Quantity
- Displays the quantity of the component which is to be copied into the quotation, but can be changed.
- Unit
- Displays the unit of the component that is to be copied into the quotation, can be changed if the Structure order type assigned to the parent item is defined as changeable.
- Critical
- Indicates if the component is classified as a critical component, and cannot be changed. The following apply if the quotation is copied to a sales order:
- Component
- Enter the item identification of the component, if you wish to add a component to be copied into the quotation.
- Quantity
- Enter the quantity of the new component which is to be copied into the quotation.
- Unit
- Enter the unit of the component that is to be copied into the quotation. If no value is entered, the default unit defined for the component in Order structure file, will be retrieved.
- Crit
- Indicate if the component is classified as a critical component. The following apply if the quotation is copied to a sales order:
Note: If the structure type defined for the parent item has Structure avail set to NO, then the component cannot be set as critical. This is to ensure that critical components are not included on the pick list without the parent item.
