Specification
In this section, by completing the following fields, you are able to control other aspects of the reminder proposal creation.
- Selection date
- Today’s date is defaulted, but can be changed. The date in this field is used to determine which document should be considered as due and selected for the proposal. If interest is to be printed, it also determines the overdue time for the interest amount calculation.
Selection date (on this panel) in combination with Days between reminders (specified on the reminder rule) is checked towards Last reminder date (updated on debtor level or document level depending on the selected reminder method):
- If the selected method is 1 (debtor) and Last reminder date on the debtor + Days between reminders is greater than Selection date, then the debtor will be included in the proposal.
- If the selected method is 2 (document) and Last reminder date on the document + Days between reminders is greater than Selection date, then the document will be included in the reminder. In this case, the system will issue warning message number 2.
See Date handling in the reminder routine for further details.
- Highest degree
- Set to YES to only include reminders that have reached the highest degree according to the applied reminder rule. Set to NO to only include reminders which have not reached the highest degree. If you leave the field blank, then all reminders are included in the proposal.
- Negative reminders
- NO is defaulted indicating that only reminders with either a zero or a positive total amount should be included. Set to YES to only include reminders with a negative total amount. If you leave the field blank, then all reminders are included in the proposal. If negative reminders are included, then they are created as inactive.
Note: The minimum total remaining amount limit set up for reminders in Work with currencies will be considered only for positive reminders. Reminders below the limit are created as inactive.
- Incl non-due doc
- Indicate if documents which did not pass the due date should be included in the reminder proposal as well. If non-due documents are included, then documents that are due, but within grace days limit, will be selected and included in the reminder total.
- Print control list
- Indicate if you want to print a control list of the reminder proposal you are creating.
Two options are available for printing a control list and there are a few differences:
- Ordering printout of a control list at proposal creation (this panel): The selection and specification panels will be in display mode. You can only sequence on reminder and document detail levels and define the printing parameters. The complete proposal and the entered selection criteria and specification values from the creation will be printed on the control list. They are not stored in the Template file as default for the next control list printout.
- Selecting the Print control list option from the Overview panel after updating the proposal to the system: Allows you to further sequence, select and specify your printout. The entered parameters are stored in the Template file as default for the next control list printout.
In neither case will printing a control list change the proposal status code.
