Selection fields

The selection fields on this panel can be used separately or in combination with each other. If several fields exist on your panel, then the first field is always a positioning field.

The following selection types exist in tables, enquiries and files:

Positioning
Used to display the sequential list, starting with the character or value that you have entered.

If only one positioning field exists on your panel, then it can be used in two ways. If you enter part of the value/code, the field will function as a positioning field. If you enter a complete value/code, the field will function as a direct access to that record.

Note: 'Work with' programs never give you a direct access.
Exact match
Used to narrow down the number of records in a list. Only records that are equal to the value you have entered will be displayed.
Search
Used to find a specific record in a list. Enter a search argument consisting of one or several characters. All records that hold the search argument that you have entered will be displayed.

Note: This selection type is primarily used for description-related fields (free text fields combining upper and lower case letters).

Budget number profile maintenance (ANLD1104)

The budget profile controls which information will be displayed and which keys will be used for selection in the Budget maintenance.

Function keys

Fold

Display the length and type for the selected statistic keys.

Profile

Name

Alias default value: Enter a balance alias value if this profile only will handle budgets for one balance type.

Protect budget curve: Indicate if the field budget curve should be protected in Budget maintenance.

Protect total amount: Indicate if the Total amount field should be protected in Budget maintenance.

Protect mult factor: Indicate if the Mult factor field should be protected in Budget maintenance.

Selected keys: Displays the selected statistic keys for this profile. The keys are retrieved from the selected Budget number definition.

Sequence: Enter a sequence between 1-9 for this selected key. The sequence are retrieved from the order of keys in the selected Budget number definition. The sequence is used in Budget maintenance to process valid combinations.

Default value: Enter a default value for this selected key. The default value is used in Budget maintenance to process valid combinations.

Budget profile maintenance (ANLD1107)

Period attributes: Displays the period names retrieved from G/L control file.

Protect: Indicate if the period should be protected in Budget maintenance.
