On this panel you can change the details for an existing menu item.
Function keys
F4 | Press F4 or click the prompt icon when on the Command to execute line to access a prompt panel where the parameters can be specified. You first enter the applicable “CALL PGM” command before pressing F4. See the Command to execute field for more info. |
- Menu item
- Displays the name of the menu item you are changing.
- Description
- Mandatory entry. Enter a description of the menu item. This is the text that will appear on all menus where this menu item is included.
- Command to execute
- Mandatory entry. Enter the command that shall be executed when this menu item is accessed by an end-user, (e.g., the call to the front program in the routine represented by the menu item).
For a menu item that is to call a program, you can enter the CALL PGM(ASGC800) command and then press F4 or click the prompt icon to access a prompt panel where you define each parameter separately.
- XT Command string
- Enter a command string to be used in the DC1 UI Client.
- Menu mode
- Enter a code indicating the menu mode to be used for the menu item.
Code Description 0 The menu option is valid both for 5250 and DC1 UI Client menues. 1 The menu option is only valid for 5250 menues. 2 The menu option is valid only for DC1 UI Client menues.

In add mode, enter the PTF number for which this menu item is being created. In change mode, you can change this information.
