This document outlines the different process steps and the order in which these actions should be taken.
On this panel you can create and maintain supply plans per version and item/warehouse. Supply plan quantities for the active supply plan (*BASE) can be used as input for the MRP and Purchase suggestion programs. All versions, except the (*BASE) version, are regarded as simulation versions.
Options

| Clear version | Note: This option cannot be used for the base version (*BASE). Select this option to clear a supply plan version. All data will be removed, but the version will be saved. |
| Create from DP | Note: This option cannot be used for the base version (*BASE). Select this option to create the supply plan directly from a demand plan. |
| SP calculation | Select this option to choose items to be included in the supply plan version. The supply quantity will be calculated based on the IC forecast. Only items for which the Supply plan field is set to YES in the Item file will be included in the calculation. |
| SP Ll calculation | Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Select this option to start the lower level calculation of the items in the supply plan. The supply quantity for the lower level material will be calculated based on the produced items in the existing version. |
| Net change | Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Select this option to calculate net change (i.e. re-calculate lower level supply quantity based on changes made since lower level calculation was first executed). |
| IC calculation | Note: This option can only be used for the base version (*BASE). Select this option to start the IC calculation. This will replace the IC forecast that is based on the supply quantities. |
Selection fields
- Version
- This column lists the identity codes of the supply plan versions.
- Description
- This column lists the descriptions of the supply plan versions.
- Workl crt
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicates if workload has been created for the produced items in the version.
- Ll crt
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicates if the Create supply plan lower levels batch job has been run. If YES, included items have been added to the version.
- Last chg
- Displays a date indicating when the supply plan version was last changed or updated.
- User
- Displays a user ID indicating the user who created the supply plan version.
Work with supply plan, Header (INVD07004)
This panel displays the header details of the selected supply plan.
Function keys
| Included demand plans | Only displayed if a demand plan has been copied into the supply plan version. View the included demand plans for the supply plan version. |
- Version
- Displays the identity of the supply plan version.
- Description
- Displays the description of the supply plan version.
- SP horizon
- Displays the horizon in number of years ahead for the supply plan version. When you create a new supply plan, this value is retrieved from the IC control file, but can be changed.
- User
- Displays a user ID indicating the user who created the supply plan version.
- Last changed
- Displays a date indicating when the supply plan version was last changed or updated.
- Create workload
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicate if workload should be created for the supply plan.
- Sim capacity version
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Enter the version to be used when the capacity creation should be performed.
- Variant
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated, and when the Variant handling field is set to YES in the MFG control file. Enter the item structure to be used when lower level calculation is performed. If the entered structure is missing, the main variant (000) will be used instead.
- SST calc per period
- Indicate if safety stock should be calculated on period level based on the supply plan period requirement quantity. Note: Calculation on period level is only done if the following is true:
- Service ctrl class for the item/warehouse is defined as Demand based
- Manual SST is zero
- SSC DRP is zero
Work with supply plan, Copy (INVD07005)
This panel displays the record you selected to copy. Apart from creating a new supply plan by copying an existing version, you can also add the forecast to an existing version. Click OK to confirm the update. Click Back to cancel.
- Version
- Enter the identity of the new supply plan version. Note: You can also enter an existing version. In this case, the forecast will be added to the existing supply plan version.
- Description
- Enter a description of the new supply plan version.
- SP horizon
- Displays the horizon in number of years ahead for the supply plan version.
- Copy version
- Displays the supply plan you selected to copy.
- Sim capacity version
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Enter the version to be used when the capacity creation should be performed.
- Variant
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Enter the item structure to be used when lower level calculation is performed. If the entered structure is missing, the main variant (000) will be used instead. Note: Only shown when the Variant handling field is set to YES in the MFG control file.
- Lower level created
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicates if the Create supply plan lower levels batch job has been run. If YES, included items have been added to the version that is copied.
- Copy only parents
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated, and it is only shown for lower level items. Indicate if only parent items (including items that have been created in the SP calculation or manually) should be copied to the new supply plan version. If this field is set to NO, then all items will be copied.
Work with supply plan, IC calculation (INVD07006)
This panel displays the supply plan for which you have selected to run the IC calculation. Click OK to confirm the calculation. Click Back to cancel.
Note: The calculation can only be run for the base version (*BASE).
Work with supply plan, Create from demand plan (INVD07007)
On this panel you enter the demand plan that should be copied into the selected supply plan. Note: You are not allowed to add demand plan when lower level calculation of the items in the supply plan has already been performed.
If a supply plan is created from a demand plan, (as it should be on a yearly basis in order to calculate Supply quantity in the same way as when created from Inventory control forecast), the supply plan will keep track of how much of the stock is “reserved” for future sales orders by saving historical values in the supply plan (save previous periods). Note: The reserved quantity is calculated according to the supply profile/adjustment in the same way regardless if the supply plan is created from Inventory forecast or a Demand plan.
- Version
- Displays the identity of the supply plan version.
- Description
- Displays the description of the supply plan version.
- Demand plan
- Enter the demand plan that should be copied into selected supply plan.
- Clear before
- Set this field to YES if the supply plan version should be cleared before creating the supply plan from selected demand plan. As more than one demand plan could be used to create a complete supply plan, set this field to NO if the selected demand plan should be added, without clearing the quantities, to already created supply plan.
Work with supply plan, Deletion/Clear version (INVD07008)
This panel displays the records you have selected to delete or clear. The Dlt field is YES if the record has been selected for deletion, and the Clr field is YES if the record should be cleared. Click OK to confirm or Back to cancel.
Note: The base version (*BASE) cannot be deleted.
Work with supply plan, Included demand plans (INVD07011)
This panel displays the demand plan(s) that has been copied into the selected supply plan.

- Displays the identity of the supply plan version.
