On this panel you can define excess stock conditions for a selected item. The excess stock review will check all other warehouses than the warehouse currently on the purchase suggestion for the excess stock condition. For each warehouse where the item is activated, the excess stock condition will be retrieved and a check will be performed.
The program will search for an excess stock condition according to the following hierarchy:
- Control key class Warehouse
- Control key class *BLANK
- Default Warehouse *DFT (description for the Default class)
- Default *BLANK *DFT (description for the Default class)
If no condition can be found after this, then the warehouse will not be checked for excess stock.

Selection
- Last movement days
- Enter the minimum number of days that must have passed since the last inventory movement for the item in the warehouse. If the item has been invoiced within the specified number of days it will not be checked for overstock. Note: If this field is completed, then an excess stock condition must be entered in one of the Number of EOQ available, Demand months avail, or Excess of ROP + EOQ fields.
- Item active days
- Enter the minimum number of days that must have passed since the item was created. If the item has been created within the specified number of days it will not be checked for overstock. Note: If this field is completed, then an excess stock condition must be entered in one of the Number of EOQ available, Demand months avail, or Excess of ROP + EOQ fields.
Excess stock condition
- Number of EOQ available
- Enter the maximum number of available EOQs that is allowed before the item is considered to have overstock. Note: If this field is completed, then the Demand months avail and Excess of ROP + EOQ fields must be left blank.
- Demand months avail
- Enter the maximum number of available demand months that is allowed before the item is considered to have overstock. Note: If this field is completed, then the Number of EOQ available and Excess of ROP + EOQ fields must be left blank.
- Excess of ROP + EOQ
- Indicate if the item should be considered to have overstock if the available quantity exceeds the sum of ROP and EOQ. Note: If this field is completed, then the Number of EOQ available and Demand months avail fields must be left blank.
