The Forecast period file displays one calendar year which is divided into forecast periods. These forecast periods are defined in the Forecast period type and No of periods/year fields in the IC control file.
Each record represents 1 forecast period and is identified by a sequence number. The file represents one calendar year in time.
This panel displays the description and the short description for each forecast period. These descriptions are used throughout the DC1 Inventory Control system. Each forecast period description makes it easier to identify specific forecast periods within the system.
Selection fields
- No of periods/year
- Displays the number of periods per calendar year as defined in the IC control file.
- Period type
- Displays the period type (month or week) as defined in the IC control file.
- Period
- This column lists the forecast period numbers (within the year).
- Descriptions
- This column lists the forecast period descriptions.
- Short desc
- This column lists the short descriptions of the forecast periods.
- Period end
- Displays the week number/month number for the last week/month in each forecast period.
Forecast period enquiry (INVD2053)
This panel displays the details of the selected forecast period.
- Forecast period
- Displays the forecast period number (within the year).
- End of period
- This field is calculated by the system and shows the week number/month number for the last week/month in each forecast period.
- Description
- Displays a description of the forecast period.
- Short description
- Displays a short description of the forecast period.
