Excess stock definition

From the fields below, choose one method for defining excess stock. The system uses the method you choose to analyse the stock of the items in this selection.

Last movement date
Enter the date, if you want to select those items that have not moved since a given date. This date is compared to the Date of issue field in the Warehouse file.
No of movements YTD
Enter the number of movements, if you want to select those items that have only moved a given number of times per year. For example, if you enter 5, the system will select those items that have moved five times or less so far this year. The comparison value is retrieved from the Number of issues YTD field in the Warehouse file.
No of EOQ in stock
Enter the quantity, if you want to select those items that have a certain quantity above EOQ in physical stock. For example, if you enter 2, the system will select those items that have 2 times the EOQ or more. The comparison value is retrieved from the Warehouse file.
Demand months stock
Enter the quantity, if you want to select those items that have a certain number of months expected demand in physical stock. For example, if you enter 5, the system selects all items that have more than five months expected demand in stock. The comparison is made against Year forecast in the Inventory management item file.
Other WHS below ROP
Indicate whether you want to show, for the selected items, any other warehouses that have the item and whose stock has fallen below the reorder point (ROP). If this field is used in conjunction with the Last movement date or the No movements YTD fields, then only the warehouse code will appear on the report for the warehouses below ROP. If this field is used in conjunction with the No EOQ in stock or Demand months in stock fields, then the warehouse code and available stock will appear on the report for the warehouses below ROP. The demand and forecast quantities will never be shown for warehouses below ROP.
